Performing since the 1970’s along the West Coast, Scott Barrett and his band are influenced by a variety of styles including country, bluegrass, rock, and funk. In recent years, he has become a popular favorite in the Frederick area and is a terrific entertainer!

John Lawton
Kicking off our Fall 2023 Season is Frederick-local John Lawton! John is an accomplished guitarist and his solo-acoustic covers include songs from Dave Matthews Band, Tom Petty, Nirvana, and more. You can also find him with his psychedelic roots rock band, Chevre.

Mike Heuer
Mike Heuer is a nationally touring Alternative Folk-Pop musician, writer and full-time performer - currently based in the Baltimore, MD area. Heuer’s style stems from a handful of roots. Now tagged as an Alt/Folk-Pop artist - Mike’s been schooled in funk and modern alternative indie music, with heady folk lyrics turning the gears. With over a decade of experience, Mike's an accomplished performer with a 200+ song repertoire, a full-length original record "GoodFire" available on all streaming outlets, and new original material scheduled for release in Autumn 2023. For those seeking genuine soul with earthly demeanor - Mike Heuer delivers.

Jake Mach
A critically-acclaimed country musician out of Glen Rock, PA, Jake Mach has been writing music since 2010. Beginning his professional solo career in 2022, he has performed at hundreds of shows at numerous venues around Pennsylvania and Maryland. With 5 studio albums under his belt and over a decade of songwriting experience, he is one of the most respected songwriters in Southern Pennsylvania.

Local favorite, 5.5 Men joins us again for our special Moonlit Maze night! They play a variety of New and Old Country as well as Classic Rock tunes. Get your glow on, conquer our famous corn maze under the moonlight, then sit back and rock on to their musical stylings!

Nate Clendenen
Nate Clendenen is an American singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Steeped in influences all across the board, his generational roots extend deep into Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, while his blood runs thick with the saltwater of his tidal home.
Growing up on large parts of bluegrass, rock, country, reggae and blues, Nate now performs in several different outfits drawing on that spectrum. In addition to being a solo singer/songwriter, you can catch him with his rock/country/blues group, Eastern Electric, or with bluegrass bands Clendenen Brothers, and others all with a varying all-star cast of Mid-Atlantic musicians.
Over Clendenen's 25 year career he has released 8 original recording projects, performed across all corners of the continental United States, the US Virgin Islands, Australia, and a bit in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. He is a classically trained vocalist and percussionist, an award winning guitar flatpicker and a bonafide road warrior.

Michelle & Jason Hannan
Michelle & Jason Hannan of WAMMIE-nominated band, One Blue Night join us again! Based out of Frederick, MD, they are one of the DC area’s fastest rising independent country bands. Michelle’s last album (Cheater’s Waltz) with her husband Jason Hannan and pedal steel guitarist Howard Parker, recently reached number 51 on the FAI Top Albums chart. Michelle & Jason can be heard on WFRE 99.9 Free Country, Sirius XM, and independent radio stations across America

Mo & Mary Mac
Mo Safren, short for Morris, is a native of Culpeper, Virginia. He is a pianist and singer that has studied under some of the best teachers in the world at the Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. Mo maintains a deep love and understanding of music, which keeps him passionate about all his musical endeavors.
Mary Mac was born to be a vocalist. She has words and a voice that can quiet a room. Her energy and love for her craft can be felt by any who have the pleasure of witnessing her perform
Mo & Mary Mac joined forces in April of 2022 when they met at a local music festival. They shared the stage with 7 other musicians and rocked out. After that day, Mo and Mary started a duo group and have covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Playing stages like Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, Songbyrd Music House in Washington D.C, Hardywood Brewery in Richmond, VA, Santa Fe Brewing Co. in Santa Fe, NM and Quartermoon Bookstore in Wilmington, NC, Mo and Mary have built quite the chemistry. Together “Mo & Mary Mac” bring a loving energy to any room with their smooth harmonies and heart-warming original songs.

Shannon Leigh & the Good Bygones
Shannon Leigh and The Good Bygones are a Maryland bluegrass band drawing influences from traditional and contemporary bluegrass, classic country, and whatever else just sounds good. The band features bluegrass veterans with excellent vocals and instrumental mastery, and they delight audiences with their unique takes on covers, as well as heartfelt originals. This band is quickly becoming a local and regional favorite. Their music will thrill you and get your toes tappin’!

Patty Reese
A fan favorite and critic’s choice in the Mid-Atlantic region, over the years Patty has collected enough WAMMIES (Washington Area Music Awards) to fill a major D.C. pothole! She sings a combination of blues, soul, and Americana roots rock and has performed at major venues and festivals in the US and abroad. Influences include Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan.

Sam C. Jones & the Sinners
Sam C. Jones is a Washington D.C. based actor, musician and bandleader. Virginia-born and raised on a steady diet of hard rock and show-tunes, Sam graduated from Christopher Newport University with a degree in Musical Theatre & Dance and immediately moved to California to pursue his dream of performing for a living. He worked for the Sacramento Theatre Company for four seasons and was featured in several productions including Man of La Mancha, The Tempest, A Christmas Carol and Pump Boys & Dinettes. In 2020 Sam moved back to the DC area, where he currently lives.
Outside of his life in theatre, Sam is an acclaimed singer-songwriter and bandleader. Sam has earned a reputation for his energetic live performances, singing and guitar chops and ease with which he commands the stage. His debut album Overdue Confession II is a love letter to the rock n' roll and Americana artists he grew up loving; Johnny Cash, Jacksone Browne and Cat Stevens. He is also a huge fan of Tom Petty, the Black Keys and Jason Isbell, and these influences show up in his writing. His band, Sam C. Jones & the Sinners performs all over the DC area has has toured up and down the East Coast with popular country and rock n' roll bands.

Juliet Lloyd Trio
Joining us for our last Moonlit Maze of the season is D.C.-based singer/songwriter, Juliet Lloyd who has quickly gained a name for herself as a strikingly accomplished songwriter and no-holds barred performer. From thousand-seat amphitheaters to intimate standing-room only cafes, audiences have been held captive by her accessible, memorable songs and easy charm time and time again. Together with her trio, she plays a mix of all your favorite pop, rock, and R&B covers, as well as original songs that have been featured on MTV and VH1.
